WE ARE THE PACK OF NORTH LANE, STRONG, NOBLE, AND BRAVE
we are a pack in the cold, snowy forest. a huge amount of acres of the land is ours, and we are one of the most feared packs residing in alaska. we live in a large cave which has smaller ones inside. we face one danger that many have died from. hunters. they'll hunt us down and kill us mercilessly. surviving on your own is virtually impossible. north lane is currently a small pack of five, but we know there's other dogs out there. we're growing greatly as desperate and injured dogs and wolves find themselves into the pack before they die of the harsh weather, starve, or perish due to the hunters. we are the north lane dogs, and we will remain strong.

the alpha male and female are the leaders of the pack. they often look to the wise and the shamans rather than the betas for advice. their word is law; disobey and you'll be punished. that is if you get caught by the alpha male. the current alpha female, however, will just warn you. disobey her again, however, she'll hand your a** to you. one of the reasons she was chosen to be an alpha.

there are usually four betas in this pack. one beta is the alpha's sibling, and the other betas are the wolves/dogs chosen for the rank or they were just close friends. for example, of of the beta male is grimm, the brother of jasmine, son of the previous alphas. they may also be the most capable for the position or very good friends; even strangers, chosen by one of the shamans visions. only two betas are next in line to lead the pack, however. one beta will be chosen by the alpha female, the other chosen by the alpha male. the betas remaining will keep their rank, welcoming another pair to the rank with them.

the teacher is the one who teaches the pups. they show them how to hunt, preserve food in the snow, climb, swim, and hide from predators. the teacher is usually a female no more than the age of five (they can be 2-5 years of age.) for she must be ready for anything. male teachers are rare, so you don't often see a male teacher.

the shaman male and female are mates, and they receive visions from the star walkers about danger and warning. they are also the healers of the pack, and next to the wise, are one of the most sought after for information. the shaman are never back talked to, not even by the alpha's dare to question their words. they are amazing healers and sometimes doing the impossible. some wolves, uncluding the shamans, believe themselves to be magical although they are not.

the shaman apprentice has at some point in their life had a vision from the star walkers. they are being taught how to heal and interpret visions correctly and not give false information. they are usually female and cannot become a shaman until they find a mate.

the lead fighter and lead male are as their name states. they are the leads for the reason of being one of the most agile in the pack.

the fighters and hunters do as their leads and alphas tell them to and do the best when they are told to. any of these dogs can have the leads position once they retire, but the head will usually pick the most capable to take his or her place. fighters and hunters are never less than the age of 2 years of age, and the situation in which they are is extremely rare and frowned upon by most. but nobody questions that, as when the teacher says they are ready for their position, there isn't a doubt that they are ready.

the wise are very old dogs or wolves. pack members may only retire around old age or due to severe injuries which effects their positions. they will go to the shamans when one of the alphas approve them to go pass themselves to be with the star walkers. the wise have wonderful stories of their youth and more to tell the pups. it is the wise's job to make sure the history of the pack survives and to give good information and advice because history may repeat itself.

the young may be newborn pups or just a little older. they are usually playful and full of energy, but most know their place when they misbehave. the pups are never allowed too far from the nursery, for the hunters are lurking at every corner.

the learners are the apprentices of the teacher. the shamans will give them their rank, visioned by the star walkers, and without question, the teachers will show them how to be what they were destined to be.

loners.. they are unknown and strange. they usually are seen by the hunters, but don't start anything. some end up joining the pack, and some don't last long enough alone. (At some point in the rp, the loners will all end up joining the pack.)

the omegas are the lowest ranking dogs or wolves, usually breaking rules, leaving and returning, or just to weak to fill any other spot.

First one's simple. Follow the site rules. If you are unsure of what they are, well, I guess your out of luck. Although you should know what they are, since you did join this site.

This is a semi-literate roleplay. I expect 3+ detailed lines or at least 4-6 sentences. Over 3 is perfectly fine, in fact it is encouraged. I understand low muse, but you can't have it every post. If I feel you are having low muse far too much, I'll give you a warning. Three warnings and you're out. I expect proper grammar and punctuation as well. A slip up every now and then is alright, typos happen. And try your hardest to be active. Just like me, I understand that you guys have lives as well. Try to warn us though if you won't be able to post for a day or two. But if you're too busy, I understand. It happens to me as well. But you must absolutely tell me if you are going to be gone for a week or longer, or else I will assume you are just inactive.

When speaking in OOC, speak in OOC. Don't flood the threads with chatting though, that's why we have chat threads. Just choose one so it's easier to distinguish when you're speaking out of character. Don't use text language in OOC either, it can be hard for others to understand. Also, no fighting in OOC. If you really feel the need to say rude things, take it to PM. But I ask you to try to refrain from that, because it could really be hurtful.

Drama and romance are encouraged. Because even I enjoy a little bit of drama. It spices things up and makes the roleplay fun and interesting. Just don't get too overly dramatic and harsh though. If the one you like doesn't like you back, don't go run off and jump off a cliff or straight into a hunter. Just like the drama, there are some restrictions to romance as well. You cannot be your own crush, it's just boring for others. You also can't be 'falling head over heels in love I want you to bear my pups' after only 5 pages. Give the love some time to blossom! And when you do get into that kinda love, fade to black please. I don't wanna read that kind of stuff, and I know some others don't either. You don't have to participate in drama or romance though if you would like not too.

Go ahead and make as many characters as you want; as long as you roleplay them. I will not put a gender limit on anything, but if I see there are too many females, then i'll be asking a few to make a male character. if you read these rules, put i just ride & your favorite color in the pass code section of the form.
